Recon's Specs
Ok, so I lied. I decided to submit another character to the TF/Mech Exchange, so her stats are going here too. ^_^;
Edit: Corrected a few bits and updated the history to accommodate the RP she's now in.

Name: Recon
Type: Transformer
Gender: female pronoun
Eyes: orange
Height: 15' or 4.6 m
Description: Recon is a small but nimble femme with powerful engines, giving her one of the best thrust-to-mass ratios in the galaxy. She's designed for maneuverability, and can "skate" on two wheels that flip down from her calves. She can also reach land speeds in excess of 500 mph (about 800 km per hour) in her alt-mode. One of Recon's most prized traits is redundancy. With several different receiving and recording systems, she can usually get her job done no matter what. She has two mandible-like structures extending from her helmet that house microphones and backup antennas, and 8 full pairs of optics. Two are on her face behind a single optic band, and the others are lined up in a "crown" atop her head, giving her a whopping 315° field of vision. This and her ability to pick up and monitor up to 6 simultaneous transmissions make her invaluable as a spy and scout. However, she does not have very advanced decryption software on her person, nor does she know many languages. Her job is only to record data and return it to her superiors.
Personality: Recon is a little old, but she'd rather go into stasis lock than get a desk job compiling data. She'd rather be out in the thick of things, gathering all the data for the poor saps to go through later. Her job is to see without being seen, to record without being recorded, and she does it very well. Still, she secretly loves the rush of running when the enemy spots her. During her off time she can be a bit of a thrill-seeker, but she's not stupid. Recon did not participate in the battle for the Allspark due to Hayden’s removal of her transmission and sensory equipment for several weeks. She beats herself up for not being there to protect her fellow Autobots. She’s quite attached to all of them, but Bumblebee and Jazz most of all. She sees Bumblebee as a little brother, while Jazz gives her friendship and a chance to let loose for a while. With her small nimble frame she took easily to his dance training. She’s also very attached to Hayden, a social butterfly of a surfer boy with an innate love of mechanics. Basically she’s a 50s woman: traditional with great respect for authority, but witty and streetwise as well.
Likes: dancing, driving fast, German culture, Wonder Woman
Dislikes: being stuck in one spot too long, boredom, being unable to protect her friends

Other: During her journey to Earth she came across an old television show called Wonder Woman. As a result she became fascinated with German culture and adopted their accent into her vocal patterns. She also decided to base her holoform off of Wonder Woman's secret identity: the prim and proper 40s military secretary. Her first inclination was to exchange Diana's US military uniform for the Nazi equivalent because it looked cooler, but after an embarrassing history lesson from Hayden she changed it back. The coke-bottle glasses were the only thing she couldn't stand, replacing them with an orange visor instead.

Alternate Mode: 2009 Porsche 911 (at first a 1953 Porsche 356 A) Her paint color is red, but not obnoxiously so.
Tools/Weapons: Her payload revolves more around data collection rather than fighting. The upper set of forward-facing optics is actually a pair of cameras for recording any sensitive data she encounters. The hood ornament is a high-powered antenna for picking up most kinds of signals and transmissions. Her head is packed with receiving and recording equipment, so much of its upper surface area is devoted to massive vents for cooling. As for weapons, she only has two: a retractable blade on her right forearm for close-quarters fighting and a small plasma blaster on her left forearm. It’s designed to let off rapid bursts of suppressive fire to confuse and stun her enemies, giving her time to run. When she does fight, she uses guerrilla tactics and the element of surprise to her advantage, as well as her great speed.

History: Recon was sent to Earth as an advance scout to aid Bumblebee in finding the Allspark. But a lapse in focus caused her to collide with a satellite. Damaged and disoriented, Recon careened off course and fell onto the Sierra Nevada in central California. But she did manage to scan the surface and perform one final course correction-toward the only vehicle in the area. She scanned it just before plowing straight into it, and barely managed to reformat herself and transform before being discovered.
The car she totaled—a 1953 Porsche 356 A—belonged to a teenager named Hayden. He had bought it from a used car dealer the week before, and took his friends camping to celebrate. They rushed out of their tents in the middle of the night to find the thing sitting on the edge of the impact crater, looking...well, like it had been hit with a meteor.
Hayden had the car towed to his suburban LA home where he immediately began rebuilding it. Recon was happy for the opportunity; though he was no Autobot medic the kid had been fixing cars with his dad since he was three. It also didn’t hurt that his family had a sizable fortune due to the ownership of the US’s largest hardware and automotive chain, and were able to indulge their son’s obsessive love of cars. During the few months spent in Hayden’s garage, she grew attached to the boy, even allowing him to drive her around once she was in working condition again.
Soon afterward, during a day of playing hooky with his girlfriend Maria, the teenagers were caught in the middle of a gang shoot-out. Though painful, Recon managed to transform and scare off the thugs. But in the confusion Maria was shot, barely surviving after weeks of hospital treatment. During this time and afterward Recon elected to remain with Hayden to support him. It has been 2 years since they met, and Hayden now attends college at Arizona State (his father's alma mater). He mostly spends his days partying or relaxing and hasn't put a second's thought into his major.

Description: With a haircut typical of 50% of teenagers seen on the extreme sports channel, Hayden is your typical blonde surfer boy. Though working on cars most of his life has given him some lean muscle, his figure is still somewhat hidden under a layer of baby fat that has refused to go away. He likes open baggy clothes and flip-flops, and is never seen without his braided hemp seashell necklace that his girlfriend Maria made for him. Hayden usually wears blues and sea greens.
Personality: A social butterfly if there ever was one. Open and amiable, if a little spoiled and mischievous, Hayden loves to have fun with his friends. He's good at rolling with the social punches and coming up with things on the fly, which is a good ability to have when you're hiding a robot in disguise from your parents. He's used to having all the cool stuff, having grown up 2 steps down from Beverly Hills. (His dad has a collection of arcade games in the basement.) Like most rich teens he's dabbled in drugs, but after nearly ODing on ecstasy and seeing his friend fall further down the path of addiction he vowed never to touch them again. His biggest love, of course, is cars. It seems he has a natural affinity for mechanics. He treated every car like a living thing, even before meeting Recon.
Note: After Jazz and Bumblebee made fun of her outdated alt mode, Recon reformatted into a brand new model. Thus Hayden had to explain to his parents how he left for the "camping trip" with his old lemon and came back with a brand new-foreign-automobile. He has to be careful about the money he spends now since he's still "paying off the loan."
