Superhero-verse Bios
Bios for alternate-universe versions of Alexander/Blackwing, Rachel, and Hayden. Because superheroes are awesome! 8D
Name: Rachel Kelly AKA Matchstick
Age: 28
Height: 5'7"
Hair: red
Eyes: light brown
Powers/Abilities: Pyrokenesis which feeds on her emotions. Using the powers makes her manic and aggressive, liable to take things too far. After the adrenaline has worn off she becomes depressed and lethargic. Having dealt with this for years she doesn't apologize for her mood swings, but does monitor her power usage according to the situation so she doesn't accidentally do something she'll regret. Has also trained herself in the area of acrobatics and freerunning. Though her agility and power aren't super-human she can jump over an 8' fence on a good day.
Weapons: In addition to her control of fire Rachel is proficient in small firearms and her own blend of martial arts which focuses on kick-boxing and use of leverage to take down enemies quickly.
Appearance/Personality: An athletic woman who doesn't mind showing off her legs on occasion. She likes to wear lime green when not in uniform(s) even though she gets teased for looking like Christmas incarnate. She has a traditional Celtic griffin tattoo on her left shoulder.
History: Rachel will tell you her powers manifested in late high school, but says she's moved on and doesn't like to talk about the early days. She does occasionally mention her old partners, and maintains her acrobatics were developed to keep up with the two of them, who could both fly. Some time after moving into New York City she became a cop and now works as a detective. Rachel keeps up her hero persona as Matchstick to deal with criminals outside the law when necessary. She's recently started patrolling more to help out Raven and show him the ropes.

Hair: dark purple
Eyes: dark purple
Powers/Abilities: Controlled flight and uncontrolled psychometry. He can pick up strong emotions tied to objects, such as the fear of a murder victim on a knife or the necklace that symbolizes someone's mother. This happens via touch and results in loss of bodily control as images, sounds, and experiences flood into his mind. To spectators he appears to be having a seizure and he's woken up with several bruises from falling into objects. At Rachel's insistence he has started lifting weights and taking fight training but he's had less than a year's experience with both.
Weapons: Metal staff.
Appearance/Personality: Alex is a lanky teen who is only just now starting to fill out because of Rachel's insistence on weight lifting. He's a sweet kid whose only real goal in life is to help people and animals. A lot of his naivete has been beaten out of him in the last year, but he still maintains a cheerful and optimistic demeanor. His other hobby is sewing, and he now makes all of his and Rachel's costumes.
History: Taken off the streets as a toddler, Alex has spent his whole life in a Catholic orphanage. A shy inquisitive kid, he quickly took to the company of local stray animals. Though he hasn't been adopted he doesn't complain about his situation and has started focusing on the life he wants to live after high school. He has plans to become a veterinarian and hopefully work alongside people like Dr. Samuel Walker. A year ago on an outing to Central Park he found a strange ring engraved with a raven's head that enabled him to fly. Unfortunately it also had the side effect of flooding his brain with images and experiences when he touched seemingly random objects. And it wouldn't come off. He began wearing gloves and becoming more withdrawn until Rachel found him. She began training him and now helps him out whenever he needs it. As unappealing as the psychometry is it does help investigate things, so with her help Alex is becoming quite the detective.

Hair: dirty blonde
Eyes: light green
Powers/Abilities: None, except maybe dismantling engines. And taunting.
Weapons: Various tools, crowbars, and one giant wrench.
Appearance/Personality: Hayden is a husky teen who just can't ever seem to get the muscle definition he wants, no matter how much he works out. Don't tell him he has baby fat. (Even though it's true.) His hair is long and unstyled in the same way as every other surfer on the extreme sports channel and his hands are rough from working on cars since age 3. He likes Hawaiian shirts and sandals, and thus has had a hard time adjusting to New York weather. Hayden is very carefree, impulsive, and not very good with money besides. Rachel and Alex haven't had an easy time trying to rein him in. When heroing he wears overalls with a white t-shirt, steel-toed boots, and a welding helmet.
History: His family owns the immensely successful Jackson line of tools and he's next in line to run the company. His parents thought it would be good for him to live on the east coast for a while so he left LA and now lives with his aunt and uncle in Manhattan. He attends the same school as Alex, but the two were never good friends until Hayden discovered one night the other's super secret. Hayden has blackmailed Alex into taking him along on patrols, (but is too nice to actually spill the beans) and now Rachel and Alex are constantly saving him from his own recklessness. His dream is to make his own robot one day.
